The BEST teacher's ART Edition I have ever laid eyes on!
Christine Hauger
Reviewed on March 25, 2022. I teach K - 12 grades in Art and PE. There was NO art dept. at our HS until this year so we started from scratch. I asked for ideas and researched many art teaching texts... this is hands down, THE BEST. I LOVE it and so now my students do too. I don't have funds to buy the students version yet, but am certain it is grand as well!!! I wish I could find a PE teaching text as awesome as this one is! :) !!!
BEST art instructional book for 7th – 12th graders!

“After ordering several books to up my game as a virtual art instructor, I found this book to be the most helpful, organized, clearly written, well illustrated, absolutely FABULOUS!!! The art projects progress through the Elements of Art & the Principles of Design in wonderful fashion. I also admire the emphasis on inspiring creativity, both at the beginning and at the end when getting ready to show. Additional insights into famous artists and genres are great. I can’t say enough about this book. If you are teaching art to 7th – 12th graders you must have this book!”
A Beautifully Compiled Treasure Trove for Art Instructors

“When we were thrust into remote, e-teaching, online teaching, (whatever one wants to call it), the author of Emerging Art, Michelle Kamrath, offered art teachers an online PDF of this textbook. It was an incredible help to me. Not only was I so impressed with the material included in her book, my students were also. I ordered this teacher’s edition and am glad to have it as part of my resources for teaching. There are many ideas for visual journalling, projects to help one’s sub teaching plans, and many great ideas for art class projects. The illustrations are beautiful and useful and she includes a concise glossary. Michelle has thoughtfully included the National Core Art Standards and references the pages that address the standards. She also has included traditional assessments and student directed self-assessments for use or a spring board to write your own. I highly recommend this book for any art teacher’s resource library. (And thank you so much Michelle for helping art teachers during this COVID year by giving us online student access to the student edition.)”
